Seattle, WA (June 14, 2016) – JND Legal Administration, a company specializing in the management and administration of class action, bankruptcy and mass tort claims, today announced the appointment of Charles Lawson as senior vice president of JND Government Services. Lawson brings more than 15 years of experience with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) where he directed all aspects of the Bureau of Consumer Protection’s settlement fund administration program.

“Since we formed JND three months ago, we’ve experienced a remarkable degree of growth, both in terms of client engagement and in identifying and recruiting the sharpest minds in our industry,” said Neil Zola, co-founder and managing director of JND Legal Administration. “We’ve been impressed with Charles for quite a while and including him on our leadership team is a significant addition for us; he is an expert in government contracting and his work and reputation within the FTC and other governmental organizations will help fuel the growth of JND within that sector.”

Lawson will spearhead the Government Services division of JND, the newest business line in the company. He will provide strategic direction and oversight to grow JND Government Services and ensure the company continues to provide exceptional client service that underpins the success and rapid growth of the company.

Zola went on to say, “We are focused on expanding JND and anchoring each new line of business with a cornerstone hire – Charles joining the team is a testament to that.”

During Lawson’s time at the FTC, he was responsible for administering large, complex government projects. He was honored with the FTC Bureau Director’s award for reducing contract costs, improving vendor performance and enhancing reporting and controls. He was also responsible for administering thousands of fund distributions, spanning nearly 500 cases and totaling nearly a billion dollars.

“Through my tenure with the FTC, I’ve worked with many administration firms,” said Lawson. “When I was presented with the opportunity to join the established executive team and contribute to the years of unmatched services JND provides their clients, I jumped at the chance. I am incredibly grateful for my time spent with the FTC and am excited to start this new chapter.”

Lawson received a master’s in business administration from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
